let me know how yours goes. I did have some trouble getting it aligned in the center of the dash trim piece. I had to elongate the screw holes, and take off the little tabs that are in the dash that line up with the screw holes.
I don't know how VrumVrum even started doing this, it had to be a ball buster. I think the little run ins were worth it though, looks pretty cool.
I did nto get a chance to check Metra so how about Best kits? Same thing really..anyways Corvette 1990-1996 GM37 Corvette 1984-1989 GM6 or BKGM8 or BKGMK434 or BKGM4. Yes were installing radios in C4's before you made that dash kit. Nice as it is the job can be done with out it.
Cool, maybe I'll get one and see if I can come up with a good idea.
I measured up a stock radio on a coordinate measuring machine and worked with another forum member to come up with an aluminum mount. The '90 to '96 C4 hole is way too narrow to use the plastic bezel that comes with the aftermarket HU's so I decided to use a separate cover to surround the HU and fill in the hole.
By the way, my test guy wanted the hole on the low side of the hole which I did make for him. I just have to get some time to make some "low hole" mounts now.
I still have to play with this one a little more. I have to drill out holes a little more so they are elongated. My faceplate comes real close to the right side, but not close enough to hit.
