My question:
I think, if I recall correctly, on Friday you said raising subs' roll-off freq. would diminish the "localization" of the bass. It didn't hit me until later that night, but wouldn't that have the opposite effect?

no, what would happen if you raise the cut off, to say 100hz, and bring the fronts down to say, 130hz, you will have a smoother transition. Right now, I think the cut offs are too far apart... play with it...
the door install is excellent! Very nice workmanship!!!

OK, I get that; I guess I misunderstood what you were saying the other evening. I agree, there is too great a notch in the transition. If I ever get around to building that 1/4 cube behind the mib-bass drivers, I'll probably lower their low-pass cut-off. Also, I am using the sub crossover internal to the PEQ to roll off mid bass drivers; I am using the amplifier's low pass filter to roll off the subs. I don't remember why I configured it that way. Probably my next project to go along with repackaging/replacing the subs will be to get a better PEQ, probably one from Zapco, definitely something that will give me more flexibility in tweaking my X-over freqs.
