got my sub in today
two words
holy $hit
the basket on this thing is monstrous
feels like the speaker weighs a ton
gonna try to build the box this weekend
will keep everyone posted
also i think i say where someone wanted to know the size of the voice coils in another thread
it has dual 2.5 inch voice coils with a 110 0z doublestacked magnets 7 inch depth
looks like some serious subwoofer here
best of all 110 bucks brand spankin new

I asked about the voice coil, 2.5 is a little small compaired to the competition in its class, which are usually 3". Now that I know that, i probably wont buy one, so thanks for the info. But let us know how it goes and sounds after your install ... What kinda vette is it going into now? And is it going to be a fancy bandpass or basic ported or sealed? I hope it goes well.....and by all means TAKE PICTURES!!! .

this is going in a 2001 coupe and the box will be a sealed 1.5 cu ft enclosure
the hardest decision i have is whether or not to invert the woofer to show off the magnet structure
going to fill the center compartment for the first .80 ft and build the rest as low as possible
gotta still be able to store the top
