I'm thinking of pullilng my cd changer out of the trunk. Where does the wire harness go to disconnect? Will the single disc on the dash still work after disconnect? I need the space back there for my jacks and tire changing kit as I like keeping the trunk as clear as I can. I don't use the changer. Thanks.
your single unit will still work. the conection is about 2" away from the changer just remove the brackets and it's gone. I sold mine for $100 on this forum.you could get more $$ for it. It was a $600 option.
Now don't laugh, I got one of those sale US General Jacks, low profile, light and that sits in the cargo netting in it's box. In the main area storage compartment where the changer is I carry a four-way and my compressor etc, etc. As I don't use the changer that much I'd rather use the space for items I don't want sliding around in the trunk. Scanner, Handheld T.V., Port Radio and so forth. The other storage areas are for rain coats emergency equipment that always remain in the veh. My plug kit is in a case with my pucks that I bring into the house when not using the vert. We all have our quirks.

Still room for the kitchen sink?
Yes, the cable only comes out several inches, so you can tuck it away. Also, the mounting brackets are held by 4 nuts. Pull the nuts and the brackets come off.
Thanks folks for the ans. It's getting so I ask first before I get my tools out, I'v made some dumb mistakes over the years being a or trying to do repairs and mods. Mostly breaking things. On this forum I usually go with the majority.
