Idea for a partition sub box.
With the help of Eatrice and the use of his router, I decided to re-work the amp rack and sub box in my 350z. The first two pics show the amp rack. I will mount the amp horizontally on that on the front side of the strut tower brace. The second two pics are of the (still to be completed) sub box. It will slide in from the back butt up to the amp rack. I will then sandwich the whole thing together.
I decided to bottom mount the subs to sink them 3/4". I plan to cover the subs with hardware cloth and then cover over the whole front of the box with black carpet. The end result will hopefully look just like a partition and you won't be able to see the subs at all. This should also give me some insurance against the subs being damaged when I have stuff in the trunk that could slide into them.
I think this design could be modified for the z06 or FRC C5s.
