Im wanting to replace all my speakers in the car but dont know if I can wire them to the HU? Its a aftermarket HU. How would I do the install? Or will I need to add another amp? I have a JL amp pushing my 10w7.
Well you definitetely have a great start with the JL amp and 10W7
We need to know what head unit you have before we can answer your question. Chances are the answer is yes but please give us more info including what ideas you have for speakers.
I have a sony cdxm3di
Im not sure what I really want as far as componet speakers but I do want them to be JL. I dont want the best but dont want the worst. Just something GOOD.
looks like it's pushing 23.2 watts RMS x 4 channels. You 'could' run a set of components off of the h/u but you really should give them the power they are looking for. Since you have a 10w7 the h/u amplified components would be overpowered by the bass. I say go for the amp and a good quality set of jl components for at least the front speakers. If you do choose to get rear speakers you could power those off of the h/u.
You can use the HU to power the front JLs (they are efficient) and when you get more $ buy a nice amp for them if you wish.
JL makes four different series of speakers. They are the TR, VR, XR and the really expensive new ZRs. Go to your local JL dealer and give them all a listen
seriously, that would be nice and loud to have it with the JL amp.
You're well on your way to becoming deaf.

lol thats nothing for a front stage...i will be running 200 watts per side for midbass, 50 for Midrange (soft dome which is fairly efficient) and 50 for tweets....
