Default Play a CD through the 8 track??

Sorry if this might be a dupe, but I couldn't find info by searching. I'm thinking about getting a cassette-to-8 track adaptor, and inserting a CD-to-cassette adaptor into it so I can play CD's in my '80. Any thoughts on this before I start shopping on eBay?

Thanks.

I thought about doing that in my old dodge charger but never bothered. As far as I can see it should work.

There has got to be a better way. Going through 2 adaptors into a head of an 8-track player will have serious level drop as well as frequency response loss.
I'm assuming you do not want to replace the HU as to keep the Charger stock?? I figure the 2 adaptors might run you $40. For about $100, you can buy a FM-modulated CD changer and hide it in the glove box, center console, or trunk. It will not sound as good as a in dash cd-player but sound a lot better than the route your thinking about. Added benifits, no adaptors to keep in car hanging from the dash, instead of a single cd you will have up to 12 cds in a changer, and no one will ever know it's not factory (if you hide it (trunk etc)).
They are easy to install also, they just use the existing radio's antenna input to connect into the stereo, you just then tune the radio to a set freq (around 89 MHz) and shazam, you can play CDs thru you Charger's radio.
