It is super easy to hardwire a normal detector. In my vehicles, I mount the detector to the left of the rearview mirror below the upper window tint. I run the hardwire behind the a-pillar and under the headliner trim. I bring the wire down where the mirror is attached to the glass and it is very unnoticeable (sp?)
