Default LCD screen info please

can someone explain to me like I was 5 years old what wires are connected to an LCD screen? Obviously audio in, but does it have power wires or anything of that sort?

I have this portable DVD player/LCD screen in one unit, and I have been debating on taking it apart to see if I could have some fun with it. This unit does not have video in, and I was wondering if I could plug something into it, so the screen would display?
Or does that need some sort of driver type thing to display it?

Some of the additional items I wanted to plug into it ranged from another DVD player, a camera, a computer, to a video game.

I wanted to see if I could extend the wires to the LCD screen and remote mount the screen. Would this cause a loss of signal or anything?

Answer : yes. It needs a specific controller for NTSC inputs (such as the video outputs from VCR's, Xbox, etc). Sorry.. It would be easier to pick up a cheap LCD screen off of ebay and play around with it, and it will only set you back 50-60 bucks.

Believe me, if were as easy as that, I would have been doing it to the 5 or 6 samsung 15" lcd screens that I had lying around, to which i found out the right driver board for it cost more than the project was worth.
