Have you looked thru the General C4 "pay it forward" threads? That thread is for previous c4 owners who are giving away free parts from their garage junk pile. Ive already got some free stuff from memebers, saving me hundreds of dollars. I even got c4 body parts shipped to me from as far away as Cali for free! I didnt even pay for shipping! I remember some guy in there giving away bose amplifiers for the c4. Try going thru the threads maybe?
From what I understand, its not too hard to fix them yourself, if you have some basic soldering skills and $10 in parts from RadShak. Its usually the capacitiors on the output FETs that fail. They leak out and make a nasty goo onto the pc board.
Allthough, if your bose crap is failing, its probably better in the long run just to rip it out and buy new toys for yourself.
I have checked the freebie thread with no avail,I have checked the board in the amp and it LOOKS fine, no damaged components but i have tested it on the drivers side which works fine and it is still inop ruling out a wiring issue. i actually am pleased with the bose, for a stock sound system its great when it works and for the $$ and space i can't justify replacing all of it, i use the car in summer loaded down with scuba gear and all so space is a premium but thanks for the tip!

Sounds like you have a multimeter and know how to use it. If you get really board you can test the FET's on the output stage of the amp for their values. I dont know the values off hand, but the fact that it has a value, usually means its good. No value, BAD.
there are quite a few threads on repairs of bose crap. try a search
