Default Replacing Bose w/ Touchscreen; C5

I am new to this site and I will have to say this has to be the most usefull corvette site on the internet! Although, there really doesn't seem to be all that much info on audio apps that work on the C5? And most of the people on here seem to be doing the same thing? Moble PC apps or the Pioneer AVIC-N1. I am going to try something a little different. I am going to use a kenwood touchscreen dvd with navigation

http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=13798

I have used this screen with the Kenwood Navi system in a few other cars and have found it to be great! Is there any reason why everyone has been choosing the Pioneer over the Kenwood? I have used the AVIC-N1 and wasn't all that impressed? And if you want to use the Navigation you have to handle the $300 map disc (risk damaging it) and put it in the head unit which doesn't allow you to listen to a CD while using the navigation feature?

I am just starting the project today but I hope to keep you updated with pics. This is the car I am basing my project on....

I hope to do the same with the X-Box installed. My car will not be the $18,000 monster this one is but I can assure you it will be impressive. Besides, who want's to copy someone elses car? I have my own personality and so should my C5! Am I wrong? The end concept will be the should be the same and I will have an X-Box in my car! I have had one in my last 5 cars.... although they were SUVs and it was a little easier to find a place for them... Any ideas are welcome!
Well, off to the car audio shop to buy a component set. I am thinking JL. I know my sub will be a JL W6 but not too sure about the highs and mids? Wish me luck!

Oh yeah, and I heard there was a guy on here that lives in my area and knows the ins and outs of the C5. And supposedly he has quite a few aftermaket parts that he sells? I live in Folsom, CA. If you read this, please contact me, my poor C5 is still stock with the exception of a Hurst

I'm leaning towards the kenwood touchscreen also. Did you get it at that price? That's a great price!! I almost bought it for $1500 about a month ago, good thing I didn't. In my opinion it would look awsome!
