help with custom model build
i am going to be taking a blue 92 maisto ZR1 that i have and transforming it into my vette that i am picking up from the dealer next week
it is a 1991 turquoise L98 coupe
i figure i can go and buy a can of automotive touch up paint in this color
but i have a few questions.............
what is the best way to remove the sticker emblems on the hood and gas door so that i can re-apply them?
also, should i spray a coat of primer onto it b4 i give it the color coat?
i already know how i am going to modify the LT5 to look kinda like an L98
all i am gonna do i cut some "extra" intake runners off of it :D
also i will need to paint a brake light onto the rear bumper and somehow get the CORVETTE lettering back onto it
after all this, i will have a very similar model to my REAL vette
thanx for all your help in advance

Re: help with custom model build (1991camaro)
I've never had good luck getting any of the emblems off. They are usually too small & fragile. Always use primer. If you want the Corvette sticker for the back, get any of the Maisto C4 converts, they all have the sticker on the back with the brake light & "Corvette" script.

I have done several. I used an X-Acto knife to lift off the stickers. I have never lost one. I store them on waxed paper. Do use primer prior to painting.

The wheels and interior won't be quite right, but that is okay. Have fun and post a pic after you are done. :)
