is it available in die-cast, any size? Can someone send me in the right direction or website to locate.

Evilbay has a Burago 1997 Black convertible1:18. It must really be a 1998.

They also have a Welly 1999 Black convertible 1:18 too.

The best one available is the UT Models 1/18 black '98 convertible. Check Ebay, and some diecast dealers may still have them. You should be able to get one for $20-$30.
