To complete the case I’m now shopping for a set of battery powered LED light pucks to mount inside the case for illumination.

I used those strips of halogen lights from Ikea. And they have units with 2 or 3 complete halogen lights. I have a lot of model trains too. And a lot of sports memorabilia. Any one doing displays should check out Ikea...they have a lot of useful things.
Lots of cases at my place !! But I didn't make them like you.

I like the battery puck lights, no cord hanging down from the case. A nice clean look

None of my cases have cords showing but I like your white color and background better, it highlights the models better.

The IKEA ones can easily be hidden or the small liight strips run done the sides. But the battery puck lights sound like a good tip for my helmet displays.
