Corvette Funster
Although I haven't built a model in many years, I figured I would give it a shot again. I am happy with how it turned out. I am not sure that I will be putting the decals on this one though. I think I like it better without them. After molding some of the seams of the kit, I sprayed it with Testors Red, and shot the undercarriage with Testors flat black. I hand painted the figure with various model enamels. Enjoy!

It is basically the same kit, just different box art and different color plastic.

The original was molded in a purple metalflake plastic.
There was a whole line of Deal's Wheels in the early '70s.
There were Camaros, Firebirds, VWs, a couple of funny cars, 57 Chevy, etc
All were molded in the "metalflake" plastic and all of the originals are highly desirable kits for plastic collectors...

Thanks for your post. I was not aware of the early version. Pretty cool!
I also learned recently that the Corvette Zinger model is supposed to be re-released perhaps in February of this year.

That's the first I heard about it being re-released. That has been out of production for over 30 years and originals are tough to find. Can't wait to pick up a couple...
Thanks for the info - geo

KOOL ! Easy to build, fun to play with.
