Auto Extras & MemorabiliaAccessories for your Corvette that aren’t budget-busters. Plus, Corvette memorabilia and die cast models (1:24 and 1:18 scale).
I need some ideas for displaying my collection. They have filled and overflowed my entertainment center and are getting too dusty on shelves (bachelors don't dust too often). I would apprecitae some pictures of display cases so I can start planning. I have about 55 1:18 cars, about 10 1:24/1:25 promos or models, 6 1:32 cars, and about 20 1:64 cars.
....yea..Hubby has kinda ''took over'' that room in the house..is supposed to be the living/dining room....but turned into the ''Hobby'' room instead!...problem is ..he is running out of wallspace in there ...me think the den is the NEXT ''target''! :D
Tormania, I have a display case almost identicle to yours  I put my 'dirty' #3 on the bottom and put it on the vette trailer. That of course created the need for another display case.

LOL!! I bought the 2000 #3 C5R and trailer and that now sits where the dirty #3 car was. My case is at capacity, any more cars and I'll need another one to keep the cars in!
 Yup! Every dang one of them!!!! But those are only the Hot Wheels and Some of the Johnny Lightnings. There are a about 250-300 that are behind the camara!
and the collection's STILL growing!
I am in the same situation.Exoticar sells a couple of them. There are 2 cases that hold (12) 1/18th cars. The dimensions are 24 x 24 x 6.One sells for $195 and the other sells for $130.They also have one that holds (6) 1/18th cars for $80.They are all wall mounted.
I have just a little Corvette Collection, they go nicely with my personally signed C5R lithograph by Doug Garrison. It was signed by Ron Fellows, Johnny O'Connell and Gary Pratt at this years 12 Hours of Sebring.
...This is at about the level I would like to do some collecting ...

I sold off all my 1/64ths...just couldn't get into them any longer. Too damn many. Saving my space for the 1/32nd and larger now......That alone keeps me at around 150 cars!! I buy the individual display cases at TRU for 5.49 as I buy cars. Need a few more now too...... :seeya
Thanks to racer44 for motivating me to take my formative collection of slotcars, display them with my metal sculpture of a 70's era dragster, and buy my first 1:18 diecast to put together in this little display...
