Default Please help!

I have come across a key chain that I THINK might be somewhat rare!
I can't find it anywhere online! I would like to know a little about it if anyone can help me! It's like a small pocket knife except instead of blades it has two corvette keys that fold out and one side of the "FOB", if you will, is a picture of a 1953 to 56 vette and it says CHEVROLET Corvette! I'm not sure how to put a picture on here so anyone who might be able to help me can e-mail me for pix.

.
I would like to know the obvious things about it of course like
IS IT OLD?... IS IT RARE?.... VALUABLE?

OH YA!!! The keys are still uncut! I don't know if they are supposed to be blanks or if they just never got cut!

HAS ANYONE EVER SEEN...HEARD OF.... OR DOES ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS?????

Ok. Thanx... I got a picture on here. I guess I'm waiting for it to be approved. It is in the "Uncatagorized Corvette Stuff" catagory.

Huh, that looks pretty cool. I don't think I've seen anything like it before.

Now that you have posted the picture, I recall seeing similar ones years ago. They were available for many different models of automobiles and could be purchased at auto supply stores like Pep Boys.

The key blanks are just that - they could be cut to match your keys. The empty square on the outside was for your initial. When you purchased this item, you could select a stick on initial in order to personalize the key holder.

Back when they were being sold, most cars used a different key for the ignition and a different key for the doors and trunk locks. That is why the blanks are different.

I suspect that they are pretty rare and one for a Corvette is most likely very rare. Most people probably either threw them away or gave them to the new owner when they sold their car.

The value is what someone would be willing to pay for one - especially one where the key blanks are still uncut.

Hope this helps.
