Default Model glue question

When I was a kid building models, the only choice available was testors. I decided it might be fun to try building a model again and found quite a few more choices at the hobby store. What should one use nowadays? (insert old fart smilie here).
Thanks
Joe

I've been building since the 70's, and I still use Testors most of the time. You can used liquid cement, but in my experience it's messier to use. There is also Jet, and regular super glue, but super glue sets up very fast. Of course, Testors doesn't work if you're using resin parts. I've built some very intricate car and truck models over the years just using Testors. If it ain't broke, don't fix it! :seeya

Testors in the red bottle. Welds plastic great. The blue stuff is awful though.

Use Plasti Zap CA++ and/or Zap-A-Gap made by a company called Pacer.
I drop per square inch and you better have item right where you want it.

Plasti Zap sets in about 5 seconds if used as directed. i.e. "Very Little Amount"

And Zap-A-Gap is a little thicker to fill in minor gaps and takes about 10 seconds to set. It will glue metal to metal, metal to plastic, fingers to anything
and will take skin with item when trying to pull apart.

If you want it to set as soon as they touch you can put small touch of either glue on one piece and spray a mist of "Zip Kicker" accelerant on other piece to glue. When they touch it an instant set.

Best stuff I have ever used and will make your day pure hell if you accidently glue your fingers together.

All of these items are made by a compan called PACER and ou can only buy this in specialty model/hobby shops and quite a few E commerce hobby shops.
