My thread below about the Maisto 40th convertible I made has got me curious. Were the 40th anniversary 93's available as ZR-1's? Maisto released both versions. One has 40th and ZR-1 decals together on the hood sides and the box, the other version has only 40th on the hood sides and box. This would lead me to believe that both were also offered as 1:1's. Just curious :chevy
I saw one at the National Corvette Museum on Labor day. It was a sweet car! We went on a cruise and it was right in front of me. They are wonderful cars, and I just love the color. BTW, the 40th is the car that my wife wanted me to buy....
7Vette:
There were 6749 RPO Z25(Ruby Red/40th Anniversary Option) built in model year 1993. Out of that number only 243 were built with the ZR-1 option. The 40th Anniversary Website has their own data base that we gave to the Corvette Museum to document all Z25 (Ruby Red) 40th Anniversary Corvettes. At this time we have been able to trace all but 10 of the 6749. Hope this information helps. If you want a real holy grail, try finding a 40th Anniversary ZR-1 Roadster
BTW: It's great to know that I am not the only diecast nut around. I am totally obsessed with the hobby and hope to post pictures of my collection and showcases shortly.

Yes! ZR-1 40th ! I seem to recall that it had "special emblems" Hopefully the above site will show the emblem. The car that I saw looked like the cleanest car at NCM!
Thanks for the info! I assumed since Maisto made both versions, that both real versions were available. Regarding the rarity of a real 40th/ZR-1 convertible, I guess it's good that my 1/18 convertible is one!
GM produced only a coupe version of the ZR-1. However; there are some tunners out there that would chop the top and make a rag top ZR-1 for you for the right price$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $ :yesnod:
