It's amazing what a simple wheel swap can do>>>

Re: 69 mod... (Illini Steve)
Thanks! I used a "new" '69 for this one. I'm very impressed with the paint on these. Far superior than the original issue!

Re: 69 mod... (Aerovette)
Those are the wheels/tires from an Ertl '70-1/2 Baldwin-Motion Camaro. The car was distressed, so I jacked the wheels from it. The Camaro also has a big, fat 454 that I took out of it last night. Hmmm...
I have to say again how impressed I am with the "new blue" on the Revells. It's much brighter and glossier than the old one.

That really is a better shade of blue. Reminds me of a Z28 I used to own a few years back. Good job on the conversion....put that big engine in a '53. ;)

I also like the Revell '69 Vette. Excellent paint! The only thing that really bothers me about the diecast is the way the hood opens, but overall it's definitely very cool!

I'm already starting on a project that'll be the home for the 454. It's not a '53 or Ertl's excuse for a '68, but it'll be a good thing we don't have to change plugs in our diecast!
