Went to Walmart today looking for the "65" 1/18th scale kit in yellow........no such luck :nonod: However, I did find the 1/18th scale Z06 kit in black :thumbs: ....I was looking at it....when a kid about 9 and his dad came into the row looking at diecasts...they saw what I was looking at ....and thought it was pretty cool also..The father asked "if it would be a hard kit to put together?" I told him "no...it was fairly easy...I had put a green Vette together from the same type of kit".....problem was....there was only 1 kit :eek: :eek:

We tore the whole row apart looking for a kit for his son..... :nonod: :nonod: none to be found...

His dad told him he would just have to wait until the store got more in stock :sad:
I could feel the kids dissapointment with that statement :yesnod: So I handed over the kit to the boy...telling him "look I have way too many of these right now...you take it and put it together" :thumbs:

The father said "thanks"....and shook my hand :cheers: ...and the kid said "thanks" also...with a big :D

My good deed for the year :cheers: :cheers: ...I'm hoping it will bring "good carma" to me in finding the yellow 65 kit I'm looking for :thumbs:

That's a cool thing to do. :cheers: At the very least hopefully it instilled something in the little guy about kindness to others. Anything to keep younger people interested in the hobby helps.

That was a great thing to do. You might have just made a young boy very happy, and started some Corvette fever in him. Most of all, you were nice to a stranger. Every good deed bring one in return two-fold. :cheers:

I should be getting the yellow 65 kit in by friday,as my sister in law works for a local hobby store and had them order one for me. If they got any extras when I go to pick it up I'll get a couple and sell them to forum members that are looking for them.
