WTB: 1978 Corvette Pace, UT Model
I am looking for a 1978 Corvette Pace by UT Models. I see them on ebay occasionally, but they are usually to much $ for my blood. Anyone know of any sources?
Also. I was at a car show a couple of months back, and one of the sellers told me that UT models went bankrupt and someone bought the dies from UT. He thought that potentially someone would re-release this car. Has anyone else heard this?

Ebay or some other "For Sale" type of place is the only sources for this car since it is out of production. I think that AutoArt now has the rights to UT stuff. Not sure if they will reproduce any more of this model. I bought mine when the first hit the streets and it is one awesome car. It is trully a beautiful rendition.
If you want one you are going to pay! I think I paid about $80 for mine about a year ago. I havn't checked lately to see what they are going for. I think Ebay is your only chance on this one. It is one of the nicest diecasts that I have though. Top notch quality. Good luck.

These are nice ,but as stated before they are no longer produced and are demanding top dollar now. I saw one go for $212.00 on e-bay a couple of weeks ago. Most have been over the $100 mark. I'm glad I got one when they were under $50. Here's the only one on e-bay right now. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...4&category=223
I'm not sure that UT "went bankrupt".... I thought they were always owned by Gateway Global (who produces models under the AutoArt and Gate names) and that they just discontinued the UT line. Gateway did sell off the rest of the UT inventory, and some models (such as the 1982 CE Corvette) are being reissued under the AutoArt name. I would not be surprised to see the '78 reissued, but I haven't heard anything definite yet.

As for the '82, Stinger is right... that was originally released under the AutoArt name, and will be re-released under the Millennium division in the next 6 months or so. Very smart move on their part. That one will likely be in the $60s right from the get-go.
