I have the FM 50AE Vert, and like many it has a rub line across the windshield. Can I buff it out with my Dremel and a buffing wheel? What kind of polishing compound works best? Any help is appreciated.
Re: How do you buff a plastic windshield? (AZCARGASM)
Try toothpaste. It sounds crazy, but I've used it for years on both plastic model windows and diecast windows. It doesn't work 100% of the time, due to different types of scratches/marks on the window and the various plastics used by manufacturers, but it won't harm anything either. And even if it doesn't work, it leaves your windshield smelling minty fresh
:D !
I also use "The Treatment" model wax on diecast, and it also works well on windows. With the initial price and subsequent value of the FM 50th, I personally wouldn't put a Dremel anywhere near it!!!

Re: How do you buff a plastic windshield? (7Vette)
I hope you're not talking about the bad looking tint line across the top of the windshield.
If your not, toothpaste like 7vette suggested should do the trick. I've used Crest with damp cotton ball on my scratched plastic watch crystals for years and it does work.
