Ok guys..you are my last hope...I am looking for a plastic model of an engine that you assemble and really works with moving parts...I saw this back in early 90's but not since...any ideas???

There are a few out now. A visible V8, 4 cyl and maybe a rotary or some kind of turbo thing too. Check Ebay and a few other online model stores. Visit Revell and Monogram's websites to see if they are still being made.

WOW, $56.95!! That was only $9.95 or $10.95 when it first was released... but I won't say when, 'cause I hate to admit that I'm that old!

What ever you do.... DO NOT buy the Corvette 283 Fuel Injection
Model (1:6th Scale) from Ertl!

I purchased one and the block was warped so I returned it and got a second
and the block was warped in exactly the same fashion. So I emailed Ertl to
see about getting a replacement block and I got this: "We do not deal with
consumers, take it back to the place of purchase"

I was like "Well FU TOO!" I turned them into the BBB and the BBB tried to
work with them for a year and got no reply..

Ertl the company sucks.. I wish they would go bankrupt already!

I am very happy with my Ertl 1/8 Corvette Fuel Injected mode engine. It went together with only one minor problem. The ignition wires are for a six cylinder. I E-mailed Ertl, and they sent me another set of wires within two weeks.

Lucky you... I got nothing from Ertl.. The BBB got nothing from Ertl.. Maybe
Ertl took so much flack from me and the others who bought the defective
models that they finally decided to rectify the problem.

I threw mine away....

Screw Ertl
