Auto Extras & MemorabiliaAccessories for your Corvette that aren’t budget-busters. Plus, Corvette memorabilia and die cast models (1:24 and 1:18 scale).
The only engine models I've ever seen (diecast or plastic) are the 1) "The Visible V8," which is a kit available at large hobby stores (around 100 bucks, I think) that you build yourself. Alot of the parts are clear (thus the "visible" name) so you can see the internals, and the 2) Ferrari F-2000 Formula 1 engine seen here:
It's 1/4 scale, and is limited to a very low production run. At $4700, I don't imagine I'll be seeing one on my shelf anytime soon.
If there's an LT1 out there, it's got to fall in between these two in terms of price. That's *if* one even exists... I'd be curious to know myself, though, as an LT1 model could easily be made to look like an LT4!
There is currently no LT1 engine available from any of the manufacturers
other than the engines that come in the 1:24 plastic and 1:18th Diecast. There
are 1:12th LS1's available (Ertl).
It would be NICE if someone would do an LT1 though... And an LT5 and L98
for that matter! Maybe I will talk to Liberty Classics (they make 1:6th Scale
Die Cast Engines) seems like they have made every engine I have asked for
so far :D
