1. Find a PERMANENT fix for the seat rocking. A stable environment for one's keister is important for performance driving!
I don't care if "they all do that". They Shouldn't!

2. Send at least one service writer and one mechanic from each Chevy dealership to whatever school is used to teach Cadillac service people how to treat customers.

I think we should all get together as a forum and submit our displeasure with most of the service departments. I'm tired of no nothing service manager who treat you like sh*t. As far as I'm concerned if it does not get better even though I love Vettes I'll be switching to a beamer for my next ride. I can't keep going through this constant agravation from the service departments

That's a great idea LT4Pilot, a letter to GM electronically signed by over 8000 registered CorvetteForum members might make an impact... GM did the right thing by me lately when they replaced my targa top for the second time... This last time I was out of the warranty period (52K miles), but they went ahead and replaced it anyway as a courtesy coverage... This was GM's last chance as far as I was concerned... I've been GM born and raised, but the lack of customer service by GM's representatives (service writers/technicians) on my previous car made me seriously start thinking about an SVT Cobra for my next purchase... I'm strictly a principles purchaser, and I never forget... Although I love GM cars, Vettes especially, I would have had to learn to love someone else's cars if GM would have pulled thier "normal" customer service/satisfaction on me one more time... So for now, I'm still a GM customer, but after hearing about several of my friend's Ford dealer/warranty experiences, GM better do some shaping up and take care of the customer, because once we're gone, we may not come back...

GM did me no favors , in fact it's been horror trying to get my transmission replaced. Went out after only 30K. I purchased a non GM after warrant that covers it. But in the two weeks that my car has been disabled I have been treated like Sh*t from the dealer. I have been doing most of the leg work between the warranty compnay and the dealer which isn't my job. They let the car sit there for two days waiting on a response from the warranty people, instead of following up the next day I had to call to get the ball rolling again. They sent and inspector out on wednesday afternoon to look over the transmission they didn't bother to follow up on that either I had to call the warranty people myself on Friday morning. By the time the service department manager got off his A$$ it was too late to order the transmission on friday. I hope they order it today so I can get the car back by the weekend. It's been outside two weeks almost with no tranny. I'm completly fed up. never will I return to this dealer again even to buy a washer.
