I'm really pissed at GM, Chevy and my dealer.

Why? because they basically cant give any straight answers on how to get me a Z06!

GM and their "system" have been giving me the BS runaround for 4 months!!!!

I first heard about the Z06 on this forum back in mid May, and wanted one right then. I saw that some people had placed orders which were part of a "special" May 18 allocation.

This is where the BS begins! I went to my dealer around May 20th and they said their now infamous line "IT'S NOT IN OUR SYSTEM". Well how come it's in other dealer's systems? And some people have firm orders? They told me to come back June 1 and they could take a deposit.

I went June 1 and made a $1000 deposit, but they said still, "it's not in our system". They told me that it would be in the system July 1, when prices are released, and that I could get a firm order then. I was still really pissed because some dealers WERE able to place orders MAY 18, what's up with that BS!!! Why them???

I went back July 1 and they told me come back the next tuesday and the order would go through. Then they told me, come back the NEXT tuesday. finally on July 11, they gave me an order number and confirmed the deal. Or so I thought, they said, "well we cant get the order officially in our system yet". More BS!!!

For the next 5 weeks they kept telling me to call the next Tuesday and they could get the order offical with an allocation from GM. Finally on August 22 they called me and said "we have your order confirmed, and we have a TPW of 11/6"!?! They even gave me a new order #, different than the one from back in July.

At this point, it's hard to say if my dealer is the moron or GM? But I'm inclined to say I'm most upset with GM. This secret process of handing out allocations, with information about the process unavailable, is something like you would see in Communist countries!!! If Chevrolet thinks they're the "apple pie" symbol of Americanism for cars they've got a big problem.

All I've been given is BS, cover-ups, unavailable info and "IT'S NOT IN OUR SYSTEM". Well, I got a name for what I've been given and it's called BS!!!

I really should have just found a dealer anywhere else who had the allocation, but I wanted to stay local and be the first person to get a Z06 here, from the same dealer that sold me my 98 vette. I beleive in consumer loyalty. What a mistake, I now know!

Where do we live? CUBA! CHINA! Why can some dealers place orders May 18 and others cant even ge the car in the F-ing system. I call it BS, and I'M REALLY PISSED!!! Out of principal I'm almost ready to demand a refund and get my attorney to sue GM and my dealer for punitive damages.

The degree to which GM has shrouded the allocation process in secercy goes against everything this country stands for. GM ought to be ashamed of themselves. "As american as apple pie? I really dont think so!"

If any of you supporting dealers can defend GM or offer any explanations, step right up. Based on what I've seen so far though, I'll probably get nothing but silence!
