19" race rubber
Last night I was reading "Grassroots Motorsports" I saw that Hossier came out with a 19" inch tire for the new vettes. I don't know if this is new or old news. Just thought I would share!

It is in a story about the PRI show. They list a 315-40-19 for Ford GT, 325-30-19 for C6 Z06 and 345-30-19 for the Viper scheduled for release in Spring 06'.

I just got off the phone with Hoosier. You are very correct those are the sizes coming out in late March or April. He also said that more 19 inch sizes are coming soon, like for the C6 not ZO6.
I hope this helps someone

Thanks Randy. That's good to know. I have a C6 Z51 and I was afraid they might not make stock sized tires for it for another year. But this is good news!
THANKS for getting the info!!!!

This is what Luke@Tirerack posted:
this is the first official announcement directly from Hoosier according to Jeff Spear their AutoX / Road Race Product Manager
the new tire is designed and tested and is coming out very soon
new 19" sizes are:
315/40-19 (Ford GT)
325/30-19 ( C6 Z06)
345/30-19 (Viper SRT10)
the first two will be available in late March and the Viper size in mid-April
these are also new compound/technological version from the previous R3S05 and A3S05 ... They will be known as simply, R6 for road race and A6 for AutoX. All of the existing Hoosier race tires will be converting to the new designs (so, look for a sale on R3S05's and A3S05's in the future)
no additional info is currently available
