some race fun to check out
Hello Fella's.
Been reading your notes here in this forum.
Just wanted to pass along some interesting info.
This past Easter weekend I was at Daytona Speedway to check out a new racing organization I'd been told about through some Friends of mine. The CHRA.
This organization is all about racing but most of all about vintage racing.
The beauty of this CHRA, it has NO vettes to pound the crap out of the porsches, and the total cost for track usage for the 3 day event was $450.00 per driver. This CHRA races at Sebring, but at all the major track's.
For me, I own a Chevy Spice, and build race cars for a living/fun. Therefore having the chance to shake down and work the bug's out, or track testing for such a minium cost really got my attention.
I've noticed so few vettes out there racing in vintage, and cannot figure out why not.
