7 drivers between 2 cars. I am slated to be in the #57 car, plus they have a #97 Corvette also. The #97 Corvette is a Riggins Chassis.
Marc Bunting is a Past champion, and Riggins is a ledgend and a many time Grand Am race winner. John Stevenson is the car owner and he has been instrumental in making this program move forward. And from the Grand Am web site here is what is written about Dominick Cicero:
FAST FACTS:
Cicero has the honor of saying he is one of only three Americans to ever win the famed Pilote Elf Competition, wildly respected as one of the world’s toughest scholarships to win. He excelled in this highly competitive environment, despite a significant language and cultural barrier, winning the 1998 Winfield Championship by the largest margin in the history of the competition.
The whole line up is up to the task. Should be fun.

Lou,
Are the cars your team is fielding similar to the Nunomaker's Corvettes?
Are paddock spaces assigned yet for the race weekend? If so, have far from The Sahlen paddock are you located (if you know)?
I am flying down to FLA on Thursday night to scout the Koni GS race and will be staying for the 24. I hope to look you up and introduce myself (provided I can find you and I can stay out of your way).

Their chassis is built in Canada and it is a HRP chassis. It has a straight rear axle housing and a regular transmission. It gets to run 120 pounds lighter I think.
The body is the same but the chassis is not.
I am not sure where the team will be paddocked. But I am sure that all the GT cars will be grouped in the same area.
See you at the races.

Best of luck in the race, I have a couple of friends in the Sabre camp who will be crewing on the two cars.
If you can, try the Riggins chassis. It would be great to have you and Tommy Riggins both on the same winning team.
I hope to get by and see you on Friday to wish you luck in person.

Good Luck Lou. Do the Corvette name proud. Wish I would be able to watch but we have our first race of the season the same weekend.

Thanks guys.
here is the latest press release from Stevenson Motorsports. We will do our best, I can assure you.
I am looking forward to this race. It should be a good one. Just getting to daylight and making it through the night without problems is the hard part.
The race will start on Fox TV then switch to Speed TV so you can watch about 15 hours of live coverage.
see you at the races.

PS, I will try to give some updates and a race summary when it is over.

i use to run 1/8n nitro meth rc cars as a sponsered driver. we always ran 20-minute heats with a 30-minute main. at the end of the year there was a 3 hour enduro race that allowed 3 drivers to enter per team. all i can say was i could not wait till my hour stint was up. i felt like i was losing my mind and eye sight. good luck with the new challenge. it will be awesome. i only wish it could be me.
leave the car unpainted. carbon fiber looks awesome

Props to you for doing it for 24 hours, I did a 12 hour off road enduro race in Portugal in 98 and at the end I could not stand both back and forearm pain. I cant imagine for 24 hours. How many hours per shift?

Hi guys,
Not so good news today. first the car lost its power steering which could not be repaired. We ran with about 20% of the power assist for a while but it was the worst thing to not have power steering with a car on the banking and the tight corners.
I have"popeye" arms now from trying to twist the little 10" steering wheel. Crawford put a prototype size steering wheel on the car and it was impossible. Even with full power assist it was hard, then when it went bad we should have parked it. But we didn't.
THen in at about the mid way point the Xtrac transaxle gave up and had to be replaced. So we lost so many laps between these two problems it became a lost cause.
So as we speak it is raining hard, and the Corvettes are on track under yellow. We don't plan on fixing the steering so even if it gets dry, it will be hard to have alot of fun driving.
Thanks for the support. We can now look forward to Sebring in the world challenge series. \
See you at the races.
