Trailer Cleaner???
What do you guys use to clean the outside of your trailers?
Mine is getting a little old and the paint is oxidized. It sets outside where the tree droppings and diesel smoke from towing make it look like a big gray turd. I wash it before every track event but it still looks like hell.
Here is what I have tried in order of effectiveness:
Tire bleach
Clorox bathroom cleaner
mystery cleaning solution my neighbor stole from some job site
Greased lightning
Simply green
Windex
brake parts cleaner
Clorox
ammonia
rubbing compound
car wax
Stuff that did not work at all:
vinegar
engine degreaser
rv cleaner
Anything at the local car wash
I've gotten it almost clean using the top three in different combinations but it really takes a lot of scrubbing. I am lazy and the scrubbing is way too much work for that stupid trailer. I really am looking for something to spray on and rinse off with as little scrubbing as possible.

Next time, after you get it clean, try using Rejex to help keep the crud from building up.

edit: For really tough stains the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser really works.

I found that on my (white/painted) trailer, even a product called "black steak remover" didn't do what it was supposed to. The only thing that worked for me was to polish and wax the whole thing. This meant a lot of time with a wheel and then hand rubbing around rivets and seams. Keeping wax on, even spray wax, helped reduce the streaking. Even stil, I had to do this every six months to a year.

Is it an aluminium trailer? if so there is only one thing which really works, its an acid from a commercial trailer dealer (trailmobile come to mind) you mist the trailer with water spray the stuff on brush it (foams like crazy) then rinse off.
It's been years since i used the stuff but it really works

Melting Slicks
I have a friend that uses clay bar in spraycan. I don't know the brand but there are several manufacturers of the stuff. He says it's the best stuff he has ever used for his trailer.

I have a white alum trailer and the exterior gets those black streaks. The mfg uses this stuff to clean trailers before they go out. It works pretty good but the stuff is still a bitch to get off. This stuff works way better than the "black streak remover" you get at the store.

I agree Awesome from Dollar General, Family Dollar or everythings a dollar should cost about a dollar so dont just buy one. This stuff works but you will have to scrub, sorry no magic potion. Clean it wax it and if you don't wanna do it again find something to paint the bare alluminum roof of your trailer because thats where the black comes from.

I was given a bottle and tried it on my three year old white gooseneck. I did one panel and because of the results HAD to complete one side or it would look odd. This stuff works really, really well.

A friend told me and demonstrated a cleaner named "Korkay" on my trailer. It was marvelous. Just spray it on about a 1 foot square, let it set for about 10 seconds, then wipe it off. No fuss, no muss. I did my whole trailer and it was a black streaked mess, but afterwards it was clean again.
Just Goolge Korkay cleaner for a distributor.

I think Jody told me he uses Korkays "Awning Cleaner / Black Streak Remover", but he might want to let us know for sure. He was bragging about it a few weeks ago when I saw him.

Here's a picture I sent to a friend of mine who's trailer was dirtier than mine. This shows before and after.

Frank, after this weekend I am in a real good mood. When I am this way, I get...more smart assed than normal!
These cleaners really work great. I had to replace a planel on my trailer three weeks ago, after cleaner the surronding panels you can barely tell the difference. Well worth the time and effort, and for $1 bottle worth the outlay as well.

I found this on Goolge: (My $10K is on its way.)

Is this the good stuff Jody?
Scrubbbing bubbles doesn't work, Windex doesn't work.
Soft Scrub does work but it removes the wax and some paint.
I heard something about "Snobol" a toilet bowl cleaner that is supposed to work also.

That's the name.
Here's a picture of the container I have. It appears to be the same stuff just in a different jug.
