Good luck, I think it's a very fun track and I'm looking forward to getting back down there in a couple months.

Here are some words I put out last year...these are merely my opinion...
T1,2 & 3 are always 4th gear turns with 3.42 in a C5. T1 is a hard brake as late as you can stand it and you can enter a lot faster than you think. You will need to tap the brake between T1 & T2 to set the nose to turn in to make the exit point at speed.
T4,5, & 6 have been faster every time I segmented the course in 4th than 3rd - but third feels faster and definitely allows you to set the nose better with throttle modulation - depends on the condition of your tires I think more than gear - I know the car runs cooler in 4th. T4 requires a good brake to get a good turn in and to be able to stay in the throttle all the way to T5. You will need to stay wide on T5 and tap the brake to set the nose - then get in the throttle. T6 requires a tap on the brake to load the nose and throttle as able the rest of the way thru T6&7.
If you are not at the rev limiter coming out of T7 in third you are too slow - I am flatfooted in 4th from mid-turn T7 to brake zone T1 or shift to 5th on the front straight. The entry to T6 is the beginning of the front straight at Roebling. T8 is a late apex as fast as you have the courage, or the tires, for. We are apexing at ~100-110 and exiting at ~120-125 at T8. Avoid the urge to lift entering T8 and you will pick up speed - but it is based on being able to stick in the corner DO NOT TURN IN EARLY - wait till you can see the timing tower before starting your turn. With the new surface in a C5 we are at the rev limiter in 4th (~143mph) at the start/finish line at Roebling now. Shifting to 5th gets you up to maybe 150 and change at the brake zone.
When oil hits 285 I back off unless TimZ06 is on track then I hit 300....

Burning Brakes
As far as tires, brakes and oil temps go, I ran 12 or so track days at Roebling last year in my '01 ZO6 on Toyo TIR street tires with what I would consider minimal wear. I put new pads on after my second event and ran them the rest of the year with no issues.
As far as oil temps go, you can run most of the track in 4th gear, keep the temps down and still be faster than most people on the track. You can of course downshift to third through 4, 5, 6 if you feel the need and upshift to 5th on the straight if you really need to hit 150. Have fun!

In my C4/A4 I never saw oil temps over 230*.. BTW: C4's have no oil coolers on them.. I would think you'd be fine with what you have..
Jon does a great job of putting things together and RR is a fun track (not too bad on the tires - just make sure you have them inflated properly).
Warning.. DE's and Tracking is VERY VERY addictive!!!!!!

I appreciate the advice so far guys. This will be my first session on the Nitti 555r2 tires. Give me some ideas on tire pressures please. On my stock Goodyears, I ran 34 front and 32 rear.
