Default WTB Race wheels

Long story short, the 17" x 10" Centerlines don't clear the front hub.

Need a set of race wheels. I would like to stick with 17's all the way around. I need them here by next friday. Cheaper the better. Anyone have a set of used ZR1 replica's etc.

Please let me know

One more question

I found a set of orginal old style (not the 5 spoke) ZR1 wheels cheap are they the same dimensions offsets as the GS style?

They fairly local but won't be able to test fit them till the day before I need to use them...

The ZR1 & GS style wheels look the same, but can have different offsets. By looking at them you would not know the difference.

GS offset is +50mm on the 17 X 11" rim (Fits 88 - 96 Corvette) and of course the C5 as I have them on mine as many do.

Personally I would go with 17" X 11" rims on all 4 corners. This of course depends on the class you run, so double check the rule book... As you are running them on a C5, I don't think you are running a stock class to begin with so you should be fine. 315's Kumho's on all 4 corners works just fine. A little rubbing at full lock in the front, but other then in a parking lot you don't do that!

I got mine through Ebay direct from AFS wheels.

This is the style of the wheels I am looking to purchase off a 1990 ZR1.

These are $275 vs. 500+ for the GS replica's. I have 275-17 hoosiers that I would like to burn up then I will be switching to either a 275 front/315 rear combo or a 315 square combo based on what wheels I decide to go with tomorrow.

Real ZR1 wheels are +36mm offset. I do not think this offset will work. I think the rim would eat the inner fender well.

The offset of a wheel is the distance from its hub mounting surface to the centerline of the wheel.

Positive: The hub mounting surface is toward the front or wheel side of the wheel.

Thanks for the info..

So 50+ offset GS replicas I will try and find 17"x11" tomorrow when the shops are open again. Might make a post on the c5 sale/wanted section now that you guys have helped me figure out what the heck I need.

Make sure you go with a name brand, don't want some off brand to crack on you while running down the track at 100+MPH.

Sorry to thread jack.... but man thats a cool shot!!

Like others have stated. 50mm offset on the GS wheels works great. Tomzwheels has them the last time I checked for like $550.00 shipped brand new.

Well got myself a set of 4 17" x 11" +50mm offset ZR1 GS replica's in black from O.E. wheel distributers... Supposed to be here in time, found a local set of wagon wheels if push comes to shove and these don't get here in time...

A big thanks for all the help!
