It was probably an evo X. It ran a 32.x on one of the days, was DQ'd for illegal mods, went home, redid the car, and came back to run on saturday. I'm not 100% sure, but thats what I would bet.

That was probably Ryan Gates then - TTA looked like a thin field this year.

Ryan Gates won in an Evo X. 1:33.6 which is a new track record. He ran a 1:31 in practice (note that the TTS record before the NATs was a 1:33). My 1:34.2 was second. That Evo X has lots of potential, he didn't get a chance to tune it after swapping manifolds to get back from the DQ and still broke the track record, they will be tough next year.

I really had a great time at Nationals meeting all of the Corvette guys.

First off I want to thank Geff and Debbie Sawtelle for putting me up in the motorhome for the weekend and constantly making sure I've had enough to eat. We made a lot of progress on Geffs car over the week and Geff ran a personal best of 1.33.0 on the last run on Saturday to take 3rd in TTS. That class has made a lot of progress in a year (from a 1.33.3 record last year to a 1.31.3 this year.)

Aaron and the rest of the Pfadt team (Robin, Josh and Jordan) I want to thank you guys first for all of your help with Geffs TTS car, and the hospitality wasn't bad either. (Aarons mom made sure none of us went hungry.) Aaron was always very helpful with set-up ideas to make Geffs car work better.

Wally nice job on the top 5!! I'm sure the extra hp didn't hurt.
Time to update that avatar and show off that new paint job!!

Matt sorry to hear about your race, you were really getting it together all weekend. Great talking to you about the C4, I'm sure I'll bounce some things off you in the future.

ScaryFast and L98 Terror it was nice meeting you guys and sharing a beer with you, I'm sure I'll be talking to you guys as well.

What can you say about Danny and the RAFT team I just wonder how well you guys could do if your would get one decent nights sleep before a race, the RAFT team is unbelieveable both on the track and in the pits. How you guys do it is beyond me.

Jesse nice run in TTA it was great talking with you, and actually I saw you on the ride home in the I-80/I-90 detour (I was in Geffs motor home with the 30 ft trailer next to you.) Nice job keeping the car somewhat safe out of turn 1 on Saturday.

Not sure if Jarrod is on the forum but I don't think I've ever seen someone smile so much at the track, anyone that talked with Jarrod this weekend had to have seen what this stuff is all about.

I have to say how great of a community the NASA - Corvette guys have, we are all competing but there is nothing these guys won't do for each other and that is really great to see.

So great job this year to all the racers and I hope to see you all next year at Miller.

Later, Joel

Hey, the stumbling came back near the end of the race. Not nearly as bad as before, but it was still there. I guess I've got some diagnosing to do.

Let me know when you get Joel's Hairless Gerbils up and running, I could use some sponsorship.

I agree, nice getting to meet everyone. What a great group of people. Not sure who all will be able to make it out to Miller for the nationals next year, but hopefully we can meet more of the West Coasters at the track.

So, let me get this straight. Both 1st and 2nd place in ST1 went off??? Crazy what can happen in a 30 minute race.

the yellow panoz hit danny on the last lap. he was also several laps down, as he was spinning out all over the place. you will see that in my video.

If this is indeed what happened then some governing body (NASA) should be looking at the qualifications/license of the Panoz driver.

Congrats to all the Vettes!!! Way to go Aaron!!!

yup, that's what you call getting it all wrong....:o I'm just glad you guys gave me a nice hole to shoot through on my way to the beach.

My first time putting 4 off and it happens at Nationals.(shrug) I'm still learning but man am I disappointed w/ myself.

Congrats on 2nd Eric. Nice work. Was that a little love tap w/ the Evo in the keyhole mid race?

I also want to say thanks to the Sawtell's and Pfadt's again for their hospitality and how great it was meeting everyone.

Matt, dont be dissapointed. You were MOVING out there.

That was a little tap on the Evo. Im also fortunate he saw me. But that little tap was enough to throw my momentum off and lose P1

See you all again soon! I do miss the torque of my C5 though!

I'm guessing the 10:30 mark was the source of potential shorts soiling?
