Your Opportunity to Drive on Thunderbolt and Lightning Road Courses!
We invite you to join the legendary General Motors Director of High Performance Vehicle Operations at New Jersey Motorsports Park. Corvette Racer and Engineer John Heinricy will be our featured guest, racer, and speaker during an NJMP Drivers Club Day on Saturday, April 4th, 2009. This will be your opportunity to witness John turn some seriously fast laps in a Phoenix Racing prepared Corvette C6 on Thunderbolt Racetrack, along with some very fast NJMP Drivers Club members.
We will celebrate Mr. Heinricy’s storied career at GM as the man behind the concepts, engineering, testing, and production of GM’s performance vehicles, including the Cadillac CTS V and the Corvette ZO6. If you drive a C5 or C6, you will be able to personally thank John for his effort in developing the suspension systems that brought your cars to the forefront of supercar competition.
The old racing adage, “Win on Sunday, sell on Monday” was John’s trademark throughout his career as he campaigned a variety of GM products in SCCA competition, winning the annual SCCA National Championship Runoffs in Corvettes and Camaros, Firebirds and Cobalts. In total, John claimed 11 SCCA national championships and holds the record for the third most Runoff titles in SCCA history. Recently John cruised around the famous Nurburgring circuit in the new Cadillac CTS V in less than 8 minutes, the fastest time ever turned in a production sedan
We are grateful to have John Heinricy as our featured speaker and racer for this special day in NJMP history. Your day will also include a tour of our entire park, some paced laps on both Lightning and Thunderbolt Raceway, a welcome continental breakfast, an excellent luncheon in our Officers Club in the Thunderbolt Paddock, and a presentation of our numerous membership opportunities. And if that’s not enough, we will unleash your passion for driving at our World Class Karting facility to complete this very memorable day.

If you like high performance cars, don't pass up this opportunity.
I have had a few opporunities to socialize with JH in the past, and the chance to just shut up and listen to his stories is amazing. If you get the chance to get instruction from him, then it is like whipped cream and the cherry added to the the top of a sundae.
Now let me give you a tip to really ingratiate yourself with JH: he really, really likes ice cream...
