This is going to be my Gospel!

I have one question, somewhat related! Does anyone have the measurements for the Brakes/Hub area???? I am trying to get a Big Brake kit made and they need a ton of measurements of the Rotors, Hub and Uprights...

I tried taking them once and it seems I'm Caliper challenged, I kept getting different readins on each attempt...

Tim
PS I know I should make a seperate Thread, I was already in here reading!

Man you are my Hero! This is probably the best two hours of reading I have ever done in regards to my Z06. I completely agree with everything you said and the reasoning behind it. A completely stock C5 Z06 with a high flow intake filter and a set of LG longtubes is an absolute monster of a car to drive. I can't see why anyone short of Ron Fellows would need more HP. Spent my first $$s on brakes, shifter harness bar, and next plan on attacking the suspension, which your write up went into perfect detail about the routes I want to take. This thread definately deserves a STICKY

Nice write up!!

FWIW - heads, cam, 1 3/4" headers, intake, injectors and timing chain aren't really that difficult. Buy the shop manuals, use the LS1howto write up and plan ahead.

1 7/8" headers are a b*tch to sqeeze in.

Take pics and label parts as you pull it apart.

If you can take it apart you can put it back together - UNLESS you lack mechanical aptitude.

Some people love HP and the sound of it.

Ditto on the STICKY! Great initial writeup and continuing updates!

Lots of detailed observations in there, I need to re-read the whole section again!

Zenak, thanks for the effort, and have a good one,
Mike
