Do they exist? If so where can you purchase them?

I am doing a C6 Z51 brake conversion on my C4 and I am looking at Racing Brake's 2 piece slotted rotor. Comparable to the DBA 5000 series but they claim they last longer and replacement rings are cheaper.

http://www.racingbrake.com/Z51_FRONT...p/2068-311.htm

I should add, if you are going to use them for track use, the Racing Brake rotors are designed to vent air to the front face of the rotor as well to prevent cracking.

Any that are just solid. I looked on Tirerack, and it appears the Centric ones are plain, but I read some other posts mentioning they are drilled as well. Not sure if they changed that. I may try going by Tirerack since they are only a mile from me and see if i can take a look at them.

DBA4000 slotted. Get them from forum vendor DarinUPerformance.

We make the Z51 size as well. We use Coleman Racing rotors and machine the aluminum hats ourselves. Our rotors are 100% made in the USA, directional, correctly vented, slotted only - no holes, are a direct bolt in replacement, and weigh 7.5 pounds less then the stock rotor. That is per rotor. Ours weigh less and cost less then DBA. Fronts are $373.50 each, replacement rings are $196.00 each.

Give us a call if you are interested or have any further questions.

The OEM rotors will last just as long (probably longer) than any of the aftermarket stuff and cost 1/3-1/4th the price .... why in the world would you want to pay $1600 for a set of rotors when the OEM's at $92each will work, at a minimum, just as good.

Not sure about the "cost less" part unless you're talking about the 2-pc DBA5000 rotors. The 4000 series slotted are $140/corner+shipping (http://www.darinuperformance.vpweb.c...DBARotors.html).

The AFX rotors are a very nice option though.

I'm trying to avoid drilled and just find a nice cheap solid replacement. Trust me I don't want to spend more...I'm looking for cheaper than OEM if possible. Don't want to pay extra for something that doesn't work.

I cracked my OEM drilled rotors, so that's why I moved to slotted. No blank options available unless I step down to standard C5/C6 size rotors.

For what it's worth, my DBA4000 slotted are holding up perfectly after 2 days at Laguna Seca and 2 days at Infineon. In comparison, my OEMs started cracking at the holes after 1 day at Thunderhill, but I made them last for a total of 5 days before the cracking got so bad that I felt uncomfortable driving on them anymore.

Unusual for them to crack to the point of bad. They do crack like all the others but not to the outside edge and they are just fine. The OEM rotor is also 1mm thicker on the outside where they normally crack. Avoid the hype and spend your $$ on beer instead.

There is no substitute that I am aware of for the OEM and going to C5 brakes is very foolish since the $40-50rotors will last about 1/3-1/4th as long. The old day of $25 rotors are a myth today

Get over the holes .. we have seven in out head already so a few more in the rotors won't matter! I watched Chris crank out 2:02's all weekend at VIR on those OEM rotors (that looked cracked but good) so they can't be all bad

Chris runs OEM rotors because T1 rules require them to. Once the new brake package is approved for T1, he won't be running OEM rotors anymore. Neither will any of the other T1 drivers. OEM rotors will not last as long on a racetrack as our Coleman Racing rotors.

FYI -- Bendix at O'Reilly/Kragen/Checker Auto Parts are $22 and come in left and right for C5 and C6 base rotors.

I've used them for track days and autox without incident.

Glad to help. I only know Kragen and Checker from out West but I guess O'Reilly bought Kragen.
