Default Enclosed vehicle shipping

I need to ship some valuable vehicles from Detroit to LA. Does anyone have suggestions of shipping companies that they've used and were satisfied with?

Contact information as well if you have it.

Thanks!

There are a lot of brokers out there who don't own their own equipment so go with an established company and also get a copy of their insurance certificate. Also ask them if its a direct shipment and that your car won't be "transfered" half way there to some other shipper.

I used Sunday Auto Transport to ship my vette from LA to Milwaukee last summer. They had great communication, a competitive price, and the car showed up just like it left.

I've used PLYCAR TRANSPORTATION in the past. Great service for a fair price !! They have offices all over the country and top notch equipment.

I highly recomend them.

Default Price Quote

ScaryFast,

We will be glad to give you a price quote, please let us know the make and model for your vehicle(s). Intercity Lines is also a sponsor of CorvetteForums and we offer discounted shipping to forum members. Intercity Lines offers fully enclosed, insured, lift gate loading and door to door service. We use only nylon wheels saddles to secure the vehicle down by it's tires only so the vehicle rides on it's own suspension. We have drip barriers in all our transporters and we cover each car with a cloth car cover then a plastic cover for added protection. Please let us know if we can help you with your move.

Thanks,
Jim

My car was picked up in the Chicago, IL area by Reliable Transport on 20Jan10. It went to a warehouse in Canton, MI because of all the auto shows/auctions going on at that time. The car was just delivered yesterday, 20 days later.

The trailer was not heated as there was water all over the car from the snow falling when it was picked up in Canton, MI a day earlier.

I have used Gary Straight, "Straight Roads" transport in the past. He's good and usually has fairly fast delivery.

Good luck on whomever you choose.

Hi,

Intercity Lines never warehouses your vehicle. We provide only door to door service direct, the driver that picks up the car will be the same driver who delivers your car. Again, please let us know if we can help you with your move.

Thanks,
Jim

Jim,

How much for a truck load of race cars from Michigan to Salt Lake in Sept & then back a week later. Including a few extra tires and tools?

L98Terror,

Ken,

Thanks for the price inquiry. Can you please give me a few details and I will be glad to give you a price quote.

Where in MI do they pick up from?
What are the dates for the event? Do we need to keep the truck at the track?
Can you give me a make and model breakdown of the racecars to make sure we can fit them on a truckload. The transporter can handle 6 cars.

Thanks,
Jim

Me too.....I'd be part of the Cincinnati to SLC load. Cars would have to be there (in SLC) from Wednesday to Sunday and then headed back home.

Probably for 4 cars and spare pieces.....
