Looking for feedback on the RLC Racing MicroPod series data loggers. Looks like a good match to my needs but know nothing about the company and quality of the product.

I also have no experience with it, but if the info on their website is true, then the Micro Pod Sport is the one I will be buying (eventually). I like how they have partnered with Chase Cam to provide easily synchronized video too.

I have not used the Micro Pod, but have used the Track Commander. It was very easy to setup and the graphics are easy to read, even in direct sun light.
We are planning to install the PRO Series in the current car we are building.

i don't have direct experience, but an accomplished pro data guy (ie, does data analysis for pro teams) that i know insists that the value of a data logger is in the software. all the hardware at this level of the game is roughly the same. and he says that the RLC has a long way to go.
a guy i know who does have an RLC, well i wouldn't say he hates it but he has had lots of problems with it.
based on those two folks who I trust, if i were getting a new data logger i would stick with established brands like AIM.

Position Accuracy of inches?
Little hard to believe the positional accuracy claims?
Pretty sure that they use the Garmin GPS18X OEM
http://www8.garmin.com/manuals/GPS18...ifications.pdf
Accuracy of <3m 95% of the time, using WAAS.
So unless they augment with accelerometers, accuracy in inches seems a little hard to understand.
Anybody using this product?

it's impossible. i didn't want to mention that because it becomes a very strong statement and i haven't personally used their product, but clearly you want to stay away from any vendor that promises you the moon.

I would like to contact the company and give them your info and inform them that they are making a false claim. How is it impossible?

I just got off the phone with the company. they stated that they are able to do it "GET WITHIN INCHES" because they are using a system which was released by "UNCLE SAM" about 3 to 4 years ago.

the only thing that happened 3-4 years ago (2005) was that the L2C signal started broadcasting. that doesn't help with accuracy, rather it allows low power devices (like phones) to get a signal.
