Best Seat and Mounting for a Tall Driver ?
I'm 6'4", 230. With a helmet on my head hits the roof of my C6 Z06. I'd like to get a racing or street/touring seat and mounts as low as possible to give more headroom.
The use will be AutoX and HPDE, and still be a street driver but not a DD.
Having a slider seat would be nice, but if fixed is what I need to go lower, so be it. At least on the driver side. I want seats with integrated harness shoulder and sub holes, and the option to work with a HANS would be nice too.
I'm finding it hard to get info on what mounts raise the seat or lower it, and how high seats sit off the mounts.
And is there a solution for the airbag sensors?
Any recommendations?
Thanks

take out the headliner. My co-driver is very tall also, so we have the center bolster removable (just had to disconnect the seat heater wire) which gives him a bit more legroom as well.
Best seats for tall folks are aluminum mounted as low as possible, but then you lose adjust ability.

yes, side mount lower.
I went for an 18" kirkey aluminum, best move possible for tracking the car. I took a half a day to make sure it was in the position I wanted (shimmig it with 2x4 into exact position), but have never had to look back.
Also don't have to worry about short people driving my car.

What mount did you use with it?

I believe I have the hardbar mounts, and a Sparco Evo 2 + (its a taller seat). I'm 6'2" and fit fine height wise in my car. you might want to try it
edit: I also remove the "butt" cushion on my race seats and thats good for nearly an inch of room as well.
