Default FS: Wilwood SL6 G-Stop Brake Kit

Purchased and used for 1 season (about 10 track events) on my C5Z06. It is the LG G-Stop Kit that sells for $1499 new and includes:

(2) Front Calipers and LG mounting Brackets
(2) Wilwood SS Brake Lines
(1) Set New Wilwood Polymatrix E Pads

I changed bleeder screws to use Russell Speed Bleeders but have the original screws also included.

One caliper has some scuffs from the wheel by not using large enough spacers. Can be seen in pictures. Discoloration on other caliper is due to heat and how paint is anodized.

Since imperfect, selling for $850 shipped to 48 states.

To answer a couple questions, I bought this in 2008 but didn't install until late that year. Ran it until June 2009 and removed them since I didn't have the car anymore.

These do use OE sized rotors and more info can be found here:

This is a great deal on a great kit that is much more consistent than stock brakes and the pads are super cheap!

Good point. For a comparison, here are current Carbotech prices per their website:

C5 Fronts - XP12 => $226
7420 Pads - XP12 => $191

I loved the extra thickness of these pads.

I used a set of these on my C5Z for 4.5 years. The increased lifetime and reduced cost of the pads more than made up for the original purchase price. You can use the stock Z06 front wheel with these calipers and not have to use any spacers. The stock Z06 rear wheel will fit but its close so I chose to run a 1/8 spacer. 17x11 C4 Grand Sport wheels will fit over them as well. Aftermarket 17x9.5 C4 ZR1 wheels require a spacer. Don't know if OEM 17x9.5 GS wheels need one. Unlike the stock calipers which are sensitive to pad taper you get consistent pedal travel for the duration of an event.

At around half price of a new set this is a hell of a deal.

I have them and I agree. Of course, for about $3k one can upgrade to Stoptech but right now I am happy with the SL6 kit and I don't have the budget for more wheels either.

PFC 01 @ HRP = $175. When I was buying PFC 01s for the stock calipers they were pushing $320 locally, $280 on HRP -- for thinner pads!

I can't believe this kit is still here... figured at least one of the T1 guys would have grabbed it at this price!

I am running the 17" OEM Zr1 wheels on my car. If anyone can confirm this will clear the front 17X9.5 rim, I am interested

Thanks

I cannot confirm for sure. I've read many places that the OEM Gran Sport (ZR1) wheels will clear but the aftermarket ones will not. I had aftermarket 17x11 gran sports and needed a small spacer.

OEM GS wheels need a .750" spacer. I forgot the ZR-1 offset but you can deduct it from there. My CCW classics take a .850" spacer. I forgot but on the above one is 850 and one is 750

John, are you sure .850 for CCW's? I only needed about an 1/8" spacer with my SL6's. I have since sold the CCW's but they were for the T1 setup.

My CCW fronts take either a .850" or.750". One spacer is for the GS OEM wheels. In the rear I have a 3/8" spacer for one of rims or both it has been a while and Wilwood SL-4
