Just as I said in the other thread, whats it look like with the suspension compressed a bit? Looks like its just a full droop issue.
Wally,
Do you run the G2s? Didn't you lose a boot last year? I installed my G2s about 3 weeks ago on my C5Z and the boots made contact the the spring at full droop. It clears no problem at regular ride height. My worry is how much does the boot grow at 150mph?

Rob
nope, dont run G2's.
My boot loss was actually not a torn boot, but rather the clamp just scooted off the end spraying grease everywhere.
I know of one other C6 driver having the same problem. He has torn the D-side boot more than once on the track. He's running inverted Penske's, not G2's.
I spoke with Pfadt about this issue, and they went with a smaller diameter coil on their new featherlight inverted shock.
Hopefully LG will chime on.
I can't speak to this particular setup, but I know some of the coil-overs have been designed so that the upper mount is offset to one side. I'd check to make sure you don't need to rotate the mount 180deg to offset it slightly. Just a thought.........
