Default cam bearing displaced

cam bearing displaced

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi guys,

is there anybody else who had a displaced cam bearing on a LS 2 engine?
I had it two times on my LS2. Suddenly the oil pressure was gone because the bearing was displaced over the oilchannel. One time without blower and also one time with blower. Now all cam bearings are glued and i hope it works.

It seems that the factory bore was not perfect on one bearing point?

In an aluminum block like the Corvette has, it is a common racing practice to have the cam bearings PINNED to ensure that they don't come lose as the block heats and expands.

Glue doesn't sound good to me with the block's expansion.

They are also pinned now!

I didn`t know this but i know a lot of LS2 engines with massive power but nobody had problems with the cam bearings.
