Stock seat belts and race buckets
Hello all,
I'm planning to install a driver side race bucket and need to maintain the use of the stock seat belts for street driving. The sides on the bucket seat are pretty high and obviously one cannot use the belt by passing it over the sides of the seat. On the right side, the new seat mounting bracket will provide the mounting point for the buckle, and the buckle can pass through the lower hole in the seat. However, I don't fully understand what happens with the left side. How can I pass the lap belt through the hole in the seat? Guess I would need to unbolt the lap belt tensioner, will it fit through the hole?
Thanks in advance.

Make an extender for the stock belt clip on the inboard side of the driver's seat. Use the heaviest stock you can, and bolt it up. Those belts will work poorly with racing seats anyhow, so if you're going to get serious you are using the harness.
