Lots of fun, great Vette turnout...

My car is stock except for StopTechs and RA1s.

Very cool, what's the display on the center by the radio, mph/lap time? Was all that noise debris hitting the underside of your car, or was the mic on the camera acting up?
Must be one hell of a ride going down the cork screw at LS.
Thanks for sharing.

The noise was mic clipping on the camera, got to find some way to block wind noise, but the mic is invisible...(Contour HD)

Great video. Thanks for posting.
Your driving looks good (I timed your laps at 1:41s), but I would have thought that a car with aero, like the ACR would have had significantly higher corner speeds. If your display was in mph, it showed the speeds for the corners as follows:
T2 44
T4 68/70
T6 65
Corkscrew 43/44
T9 71
T11 35/37
Presumably the ACR was on race tires (A6?), I notice that you are on RA-1s. Laguna Seca is a GREAT track.
Thanks,

Laguna is unpredictable. I don't know if it's the weather, or if they change the meter every now and then, or what, but I have run Laguna I think five times and only got popped for sound once. Stock exhaust. Other stock C6 Z06s report the same situation...normally pass, sometimes they don't.

You'll see in the video Gary (nice job!) made up most gaps in the braking zones. The ACR was not trail braking -- this will always result in less front tire grip and slower cornering. You can tell by watching the brake lights. Most of the time the ACR was off the brakes way too early in the turns (mainly because he over-slowed the car and was back on the gas (unloading the front end) before the apex trying to make up for the slow corner speed.
The ACR is capable of higher cornering speeds. Maybe it was the driver's first time there?

I'm thinking of tracking my car in the near future, and I have been checking out a lot of track video etc etc..
I notice that at first your passes were done only under the forward drivers signal but later were done with no signal and sometimes in turns. I thought that this type of passing is not allowed, but I'm assuming that every track/event is different; can you clarify. Thanks and great video!
Thanks.
