Taking a survey so only post if you have done it or maybe if you own a shop. Don't post if you paid someone to do it.

I've done both as well. Damper is like changing a tire compared to a clutch.

i did the clutch on a lift, with a trans jack, and it wasn't nearly as bad as i thought. No way in hell would i even attempt it on jack stands. Kudos to those that do/have.

A wise person only does the clutch on the floor once, you must hate yourself

Does popping the motor out (spun a bearing) from the top and swapping in a new clutch count? Had to do the balancer too. I have become more of a mechanic than a racer.
My jack stands are getting more use than my helmet.

Well this is turning out worse than I thought, probably looking at a clutch late this year. Or over winter break.

Dropping the drivetrain with jack stands on your back is no fun - done it 4 times in the past 2 years. Balancer/crank bolt is relatively simple in comparison.

necessity drives the need. For my first one the local shop quoted $1100 labor, being cheap I said heck no. After I did it I thought they were spot on!

I know a buy that did an engine swap on a 4-post lift.
What an idiot.
