Default Formula One Canada TV Schedule - RACE IS ON *NBC*

Formula One - CANADA Schedule on NBC Sports Network AND ON NBC!!!

LIVE COVERAGE OF THIS RACE WILL BE ON NBC.

That's the regular NBC network and NOT ON NBC SPORTSNET.

All reruns of the race will be on NBC SportsNet

---------------------------------------------------------------------

I pull this info from from my Tivo's schedule. I have no guarantees that
it is correct so I offer none.

If you don't want to have your recording stop right in the middle
of the greatest ever qualifying session or race - add extra time to your
recordings. My rule of thumb is to add an hour to the practice and
qualifying shows and AT LEAST TWO HOURS to the race itself.

The post-race show "F1 Extra" is shown immediately after the race
whatever time that may be. Sometimes they schedule it as a separate
show and sometimes they don't. So the easiest way to make sure you
record it is to simply added enough extra time to the race broadcast
to get (a) any extra time that was needed to record the entire race
including any delays, and (b) "F1 Extra".

F1-EXTRA IS NOT LISTED AS A SEPARATE SHOW FOR THIS RACE! ADD EXTRA TIME!!

-------------------------------------------------------------------
Canada 2013 Schedule - ALL TIMES PACIFIC DAYLIGHT TIME !!!!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Friday June 7, 2013
--------------------
11:00 AM - Practice 1 [LIVE] (2:00 PM Eastern)

9:30 PM - Practice 2 [REPLAY] (12:30 AM Saturday Eastern)

The listings on my Tivo show these as "Practice 1" and "Practice 2"
respectively. But if you compare the times that they are showing them
with the actual local (Montreal) times of the practice sessions, it
doesn't make sense. So I'm guessing that what's going to be shown on
both showings is Practice 2. But it could be otherwise. If they are
showing LIVE F1 practice at 2:00 PM Eastern than that would be P2.)

Saturday June 8, 2013
-----------------------
10:00 AM - Qualifying [LIVE] (1:00 PM Eastern)
THE ONLY SHOWING OF QUALIFYING!!!

Sunday June 9, 2013
---------------------
10:30 AM - PreRace [LIVE] (1:30 PM Eastern)

THE FOLLOWING IS ON NBC AND NOT ON NBC SPORTSNET!!!
11:00 AM - Canadian Grand Prix [LIVE] (2:00 PM Eastern)

?:?? PM - F1 Extra
Not Listed as a separate show so leave extra time on your
recording as it will be part of the race show itself!!!

8:00 PM - Race [RERUN] (11:00 PM Eastern)
This race rerun is on NBC SportsNet

Monday June 10, 2013
----------------------
9:00 PM - Race [RERUN] (midnight June 11 Eastern)
This race rerun is on NBC SportsNet

Enjoy!!

Default A Reminder

First practice is tomorrow (Friday June 7)

For those of you get the chance to go to Montreal for an F1 race, take it! It's a great city, access to the track could not be easier via the subway, and it's a big time party atmosphere downtown. A great way to go is with Grand Prix Tours (gptours.com - if nothing else sign up for their free brochure as it's pretty cool on its own!) and enjoy the extras that they provide in addition to good tickets and good parties both Friday and Saturday nights.

Recommended!

Default RAIN in Montreal

Practice #1 this morning was "wet/dry" with the first cars on track using full wets!

Rain is forecast for the entire weekend so...

ADD EXTRA TIME TO YOUR RECORDINGS - ESPECIALLY THE RACE - OR YOU COULD END UP MISSING THE END.

I'd add at least an extra 2 hours. Better safe than sorry.

And - again - the live race coverage is on NBC!!!

Enjoyed the lengthy discussion during the first practice about the tire test debacle.
Can't wait for the tribunal results.

It will be interesting, indeed.

Red Bull is carrying on about it like a wounded duck. It's pathetic, actually. Such a transparent attempt to influence the "jury pool" via the press.

The FIA doesn't dare do anything TOO draconian to Mercedes as they (Bernie, Todt) have really worked hard to get Merc in to F1 and if they really stick it to them they'll just give F1 the finger and leave altogether - a very undesireable result.

And I'm sure Pirelli is still in "we can take this or leave it" mode about F1 given the way they have been treated.

It should take another 4-7 weeks before there is a final outcome. After that will come 10 days of "winners" crowing, "losers" whining, and the worldwide motorsport press demonstrating (yet yet yet again) just what bozos most of them are.

I did find Webber's crying about Van De Garde's move at the hairpin a bit much. Whilst VdG shouldn't have done that, at this point in his career Webber should know better than to risk his race on that expectation. Vettel would never have done that and it happens to Webber quite a bit. And I'm a Webber fan, too.

Alonso's drive was excellent.

A bit processional in my view. Alonso tracking down Hamilton near the end did at least add a bit of excitement. RBR and Vettle nailed it, they were in a league of their own and are looking strong to make it four in a row. What’s happened to Lotus? Their year looked so promising in the first few races but its going downhill fast.

Another lesson in what you can accomplish with $500 million and Adrian Newey.

They seem to do this a lot. And I expect that neither the loss of $80 million last year nor the departure of their Technical Director in early May can't have helped things.

Of course, every team from mid-field up has been very erratic in their results this season. Heck even Vettel has missed the podium twice already.

Yes. As the "crane" (really more af a tractor) was hauling the car back into the pits, said worker dropped his radio, went to pick it up, tripped, and didn't/couldn't get out of the way and was run over by one of the tires. This happened after the race had ended.

Sad indeed.
