Default Bemco/Howe Camaro at Daytona with pic

The Bemco Camaro ran very well at DIS this weekend with nineteen year old Bobby Kennedy driving. Best lap for the weekend was a 1:56.362. The car is a ASA type Howe chassis, I say ASA type as it was purpose built as a road racer and never competed in ASA. We originally built it as a Monte Carlo with 18 degree SBC and did fairly well with it winning a number of regional races. We converted it to a LS1 motor and despite 150 less HP the car lapped quicker and won lots of races.

A couple of years ago we had Woody at Bemco convert it to the Howe TA2 Camaro body with COT wing and splitter. The car ran third overall behind the super fast GT-1's of Machavern and Hazelwood all weekend. This with a 550 HP LS6. 11 to 1 motor with Advanced Induction 243 heads, 750 Holley carb, Jerico 4 speed with quick change rear end.
Penske shocks and Wilwood 6 piston Integra R calipers in front and superlites in the rear.
The tires were the Hoosier 3035 with one weekend already on them.
