Anyone use old Camaro wheels on the front?
I may have to drop down to a smaller size tire up front for next year. (Yes, I know this is really sad) Interested in getting just a pair of front 17 x 9.5 C5Z fronts but wondered if I could sub last generation Camaro SS 17 x 9s with a 50 mm offset. I think the Camaro hub diameter is just minimally larger than the Corvette one.

Why not go with C4 ZR1 or GS front wheels that are 17x9.5? Only issue is fitment with aftermarket brakes with repro versions of these wheels as the spokes are thicker than the GM wheels. The Camaro wheels are copies of these wheels.

Interestingly when I ran a 2002 Camaro myself I used the really old 38mm offset Corvette GS wheels in 17 x 9.5 but sold those rims with the car.
OTOH because the stock offset for a Camaro in that size is 50 mm and the Camaro hub is really quite weak, I would wear out hubs in no time, the better the grip of the tire, the faster the bearings would wear.
For the C5Z, I would really like to keep to a 50 mm or higher offset. (Stock C5Z front offset is 54 mm I think)
