Can I use OEM C5 hinges with Aerocatch pins?
I am installing the Aerocatch pins on a C5, can I just use them at the cowl end and keep my factory hinges or do I need to get four pins?

Yes. I don't really see the benefit. The OEM releases don't weigh much. The real benefit is ditching the OEM hinge/shock assemblies. I'm doing the reverse. Pins up front, OEM latches in the rear. Have to pin the hood to clear the intake with the radiator laid forward.

The car didn't come with the latches and I used the hole in the cowl for a -10 line so I have no release mechanism
But you're probably right. I should replace the hinges too. Just don't like the inconvenience of having to pull it all the way off every time i open it.

Yeah it's annoying... I was trying to keep mine as I got an ACP hood with the bosses/structure for hinges. No way to run the intake with the radiator laid forward and the dual pass radiator hoses etc. etc. Had to cut all that stuff out and drilled for the front pins. Hard to see here, but the holes are there. I drilled through where the OEM front bumper pads hit the hood.
